Patient Rewards and Incentives
Because patient cooperation is such a critical component of successful orthodontic treatment, since the inception of our practice we have created a number of rewards and incentives in an effort to encourage excellent patient compliance. Among these incentives are:
- Wooden Nickel Program: Customized “wooden nickels” with a redemption value of $2.00 each are given to patients who exhibit the characteristics associated with excellent patient compliance. (On time arrival, excellent oral hygiene, no broken or deformed appliances and a positive attitude). At the conclusion of their orthodontic treatment, these wooden nickels are turned in to the office & the patient is given a gift certificate to a local merchant of their choosing. This has proven to be a terrific patient motivator and a “win-win” arrangement in our practice.
- Patient of the Month Award: At each visit, all of our wooden nickel recipients are entered into a monthly drawing. The “lucky” winner of this drawing is designated as our “Patient of the Month”. His or her photograph is posted on our website and in a prominent place in our office and rewarded with a $25.00 gift certificate to the local merchant of their choice.
- Cash for “Perfect Performance”: Any patient who completes their orthodontic treatment without any appliance breakage is happily presented with a personal check in the amount of $50.00 as an expression of our staff’s appreciation for their excellent cooperation and appliance care. These patients truly make our days especially pleasurable.
